The Toronto-born DJ Dabin is one of the industry's rising stars. He spent his teenage years mastering differing instruments - including the piano, drums, and guitar. In 2011, he began learning electronic music production.
Over the years, Dabin has garnered an impressive audience. He has amassed hundreds of millions of streams! If you’ve been around for a while, you know that he has evolved his musical style to its current form. His portfolio boasts notable collaborations with industry heavyweights such as Seven Lions, Slander, Said The Sky, along with remixes for Illenium & Gramatik.
In March 2019, Dabin dropped his second album, "Wild Youth," through MrSuicideSheep’s label, Seeking Blue. Not content to stick to the norm, he transformed the album into an acoustic EP in 2020. The album definitely showcased his versatility. What sets Dabin apart is not just his studio prowess but his dynamic live performances. At his sets, he defies genres by incorporating electronic guitar, synthesizers, and drum pads. This unique blend creates an unforgettable musical experience that truly distinguishes Dabin in the industry.
He told fans he’s been quite busy recently - even more so in the upcoming year. You won’t see much touring from him but you can expect a huge event from him. He just announced his show Stay In Bloom, which will be held in Stanford, California next year.
“I am so proud to present STAY IN BLOOM. my first ever curated music experience! 2 unique Dabin sets, lineup curated by myself, exclusive merch, collaborative pieces and so much more that i can’t wait to share,” Dabin shared on his Facebook page. He followed up with another post saying, “We've been working so hard on Stay In Bloom for the past several months and I can't believe the response so far. I won't be doing much touring next year as I'm focusing on the next album but this will definitely be the one Dabin event I hope to see you all at next year.”
